How to Check if a Brand Is Running Your UGC as an Ad

The quickest check is the Meta Ad Library: search the brand's page name and look through its active ads for your video. It is public and needs no ad account. Other platforms have their own ad libraries, with coverage that varies by region.

Search the Meta Ad Library

Open the Meta Ad Library, choose your country and all ads, then search for the brand. Filter by active ads and look for your video. Try other countries if the brand advertises in several.

Check TikTok and other platforms

TikTok, Google and LinkedIn publish ad libraries or transparency centers too. Coverage varies by country and ad type, so not finding your ad does not prove that it is not running.

Save what you find

Take a dated screenshot and copy the link. Note where you found the ad and whether it looks like your original or an edited version. This makes your follow-up clear and factual.

Compare it with your agreement

An ad may be allowed if your contract covers that channel and date. Check the usage type, territory and end date before you contact the brand.

Turn it into a renewal

If the ad is past its period, send a short message that names the date and a fee. Our guide on brands still using your UGC includes wording you can copy.
